Update on COVID-19 Wage Supplement after recent restrictions

Businesses which have been ordered to shut down after the restrictions announced last week will be given the COVID Wage Supplement even if they were not benefitting from it before.
The benefit may be claimed for periods during which these businesses are not operating.
Applications will open late next week and the first payment will cover three weeks staring on the 8th March.
Companies which already benefit from the Wage Supplement but have not been ordered to close down may keep on benefitting in accordance to their loss of revenue compared to previous years.
