The Journey to ISO Certification 

Driven by our commitment to data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, we embarked on the path to ISO 27001 Certification to ensure that our practices meet the growing demand for enhanced data security. This process involved a comprehensive review and upgrade of our information security framework, ensuring every aspect of our operations aligned with the rigorous requirements of the certification. 

Through close collaboration across all departments, we strengthened our protocols to not only meet but exceed the standards set by ISO 27001, reinforcing a company-wide culture of security. 

Meet Luke Masini: Leading AE’s Data Security Efforts 

Behind this successful certification is Luke Masini, AE’s Head of Risk and Compliance. With eight years at AE, Luke played a pivotal role in overseeing the review and implementation of our upgraded security protocols. His leadership ensured the alignment of AE’s practices with the highest data security standards. 

Luke’s journey at AE began as a legal trainee, and his dedication to compliance and risk management has seen him rise to oversee crucial functions like anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CFT), and information security. His commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration and security within AE was key in achieving this milestone. 

“I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a team through this process,” Luke says. “Achieving ISO 27001 wasn’t just about meeting requirements—it was about creating a stronger, more unified approach to protecting our clients’ data.”
